One-of-a-Kind Elevator Directory Installed in the Woolworth Lobby

Elevator directory sign in lobby. — Custom elevator directory installed in the Woolworth lobby.

Crews at the Woolworth building have installed a custom elevator directory in the lobby, adding a distinctive new feature to the restored interior. The sign is a one-of-a-kind piece with custom acrylic paint and etched lettering, giving it a marble, period-inspired appearance. Because the sign weighs more than 200 pounds, it was mounted using specialized cleats designed to securely support heavy architectural elements. The directory also includes authentic brass nameplates for tenant names and suite numbers, which will be custom-etched once tenants move in. This installation blends function and craftsmanship, offering visitors a clear directional guide while reinforcing the historic character of the lobby.
