West-Side Windows Installed at the Woolworth Building

Woolworth windows — Exterior caulking is applied to seal the newly installed windows.

Crews at the Woolworth building are installing the new west-facing windows, which are designed to match the period-accurate two-pane style used in the original structure. Crews install one window at a time down the row, setting each unit carefully and ensuring proper alignment. After installation, a crew member applies caulking from the exterior to create a tight, weather-resistant seal. These steps help restore the building’s historic appearance while improving long-term durability.
