Inside the historic Woolworth building, brass cover plates are being installed over light switches and electrical outlets in the common areas. The decorative plates replicate the finish commonly used in commercial interiors during the 1930s, aligning with the building’s historic character.
These small details help reinforce the historic appearance of the interior while completing the finishing work throughout the building’s restored spaces. Once installed, the cover plates provide a polished finish to the electrical fixtures while reflecting period-accurate design popular in the early twentieth century.
