Second Floor Demolition Advances at the Brown Brothers Building

A non-historical door is removed from the Brown Brothers Building.
An interior door is removed as demolition and cleanout continue on the second floor.

Interior demolition is progressing on the second floor of the Brown Brothers Building as crews remove walls and doors to prepare the space for restoration. Workers are carefully dismantling interior partitions, exposing the underlying framing and structural layout that will guide the next phase of construction.

This stage of work is an important step in restoring the building’s historic character while preparing the interior for updated use. Removing earlier alterations allows contractors to evaluate the building’s original structure and create a cleaner foundation for reconstruction, helping return this historic Cleveland Street building to active use.
