Workers are assembling 19-foot-tall rebar cages for the front columns of 623–627 Cleveland Street. The steel assemblies consist of long structural bars wrapped in rectangular stirrups and tied together to form a rigid framework. Once completed, these cages will be placed within the masonry columns, where they will provide internal reinforcement for the new front-column construction.
