Projecting Blade Sign Installed at the Telephone Building

Crews install blue Telephone Building sign on brick façade.

The Telephone Building’s signature blue perpendicular sign has been installed, completing a clear street-level identity to one of downtown Clearwater’s most recognizable historic façades.

Crews use special equipment to set the oval sign into place along the building’s brick exterior. The sign projects from the restored façade on a custom steel bracket, giving Cleveland Street a highly visible marker that complements the building’s restored windows, brickwork, green awning and original “TELEPHONE” masonry sign above the second floor.

With the mounted sign in place—visible from both sidewalk and street—the building gains a strong pedestrian-facing identity, reintroducing projecting signage as part of Cleveland Street’s evolving streetscape.

Lift equipment supports Telephone Building sign installation.
