During demolition at 629–633 Cleveland Street, crews uncovered existing concrete masonry unit (CMU) wall conditions that required additional structural attention. The walls were found to be hollow and unreinforced, prompting a reinforcement plan that includes adding steel reinforcement and grouting the CMU cells solid. This work strengthens the building’s structure as redevelopment progresses.
