Insulated Plumbing Removed Upstairs at 639 Cleveland Street

Worker removes a foam insulated pipe at 639 Cleveland Street before plumbing demolition.

Crews removed all insulated plumbing pipes upstairs at 639 Cleveland Street in preparation for the complete demolition of the building’s plumbing system. The insulation was a specialized foam designed to reduce both sound transmission and heat loss or gain along the pipe network. Stripping the pipes from the ceiling allows demolition teams to work directly on the system without obstructions, ensuring accurate removal as the building enters its next restoration phase.
