A key phase of demolition is complete at 639 and 645 Cleveland Street, with crews safely removing HVAC components from both buildings. The process began with the professional recovery of refrigerant, followed by the disconnection and removal of coils.

At 639 Cleveland Street, condenser and evaporator coils were removed to clear the HVAC system for continued renovation. At 645, refrigerant was safely recovered to prevent environmental release. Both removals followed all environmental regulations and disposal protocols, forming part of a targeted demolition plan that ensures full compliance with local and federal standards.

With both systems fully decommissioned, the buildings are prepared for the next stage of restoration on Clearwater’s 600 Block.
