At 623–627 Cleveland Street, a pest-control contractor is treating the soil beneath and around areas designated for new concrete. The treatment creates a protective barrier against subterranean termites before the new slab and other structural elements conceal the treated areas. Completing the treatment at this stage helps protect the renovated building as work on the new floor and structural elements moves forward.
