Crews at the Woolworth building are installing denim insulation along the first-floor walls. The insulation is placed between sections of metal framing before the walls are enclosed with drywall, forming an essential layer of comfort and energy efficiency. Made from recycled blue jeans, this material serves as an eco-friendly alternative to fiberglass insulation. Once complete, the insulation will extend throughout the Woolworth building. This stage marks an important step in preparing the building’s interior for the next phase of restoration.
