Crews at the Woolworth building have installed new brass drinking fountains on both floors, adding a functional and historic touch to the restored interiors. The installation begins by shutting off the main water supply and running a cold-water line to each fountain. Once in place, the fountains are securely mounted, connected to the water supply, sealed to prevent leaks and tested for proper water flow and drainage. To finish, crews adjust the flow rate to ensure a smooth, steady stream of water and clean the fountains before they are ready for use. This installation is another step in bringing the historic Woolworth building up to modern standards.
