Front Parapet Is Completed at the Woolworth Building

At the top of the historic Woolworth building, crews completed the careful rebuilding of the front parapet—the low brick wall that lines the rooftop. The front wall was lowered to restore it to its historic height and allow crews to salvage original bricks for reuse.

To complete the parapet, masons installed and leveled bricks to the correct height using hand tools, fresh mortar and leveling guides. The finished parapet reflects both the building’s historic dimensions and its renewed strength as a lasting feature of downtown.
