Second-Floor Framing Work Begins at the Woolworth Building

Workers set metal studs in place. — Framers install vertical studs on the second floor.

Crews have begun interior framing work on the second floor of the Woolworth Building. Framers are installing the top, bottom, and vertical framing pieces along the south side interior. Crew members use clips to hold the framing steady while securing the pieces with screws. This framing establishes the layout of the building’s interior upper-level restoration.

Track framing is fixed to the roof trusses. — Crew members secure the top framing pieces to the roof trusses.

Interior is framed with studs. — Metal clips are used for stability to help framers secure each piece of framework.
