Crews completed the removal of old tile inside 629 Cleveland Street. With the flooring fully cleared away, the concrete slab was exposed, offering a glimpse into the structural soundness beneath decades of commercial use. The slab remains intact and level, providing a clean, stable foundation for the next phase of construction.

This early interior demolition is a crucial step in transforming the space. Once renovations begin, a completely new flooring system will be installed to align with the overall design strategy for the revitalized 600 Block.

The building plays a vital supporting role in the block’s larger vision, which is to create a vibrant, walkable destination along Cleveland Street with inviting and architecturally unified storefronts.
