Window Openings Are Prepared for Installation at the Woolworth Building

At the Woolworth building, crews are preparing each window opening for installation. As part of this, they first install wooden window bucks in each opening. To ensure the bucks sit evenly, crews shave down and level the brick. Once the bucks are in place, a waterproofing primer is applied to form a protective moisture barrier. This step ensures that once the windows are installed, the building’s envelope remains durable and weather-tight for years to come.
