Electrical Conduit Is Installed at the Woolworth Building

Conduit runs are installed through wall framing before finishes go up.

Electricians are installing metal conduit runs on the first floor of the historic Woolworth building. Conduit, the protective tubing that houses electrical wiring, is carefully shaped using a conduit bender. The sections are shaped to fit around beams, corners, and other framing elements. Aligned together, they form conduit runs that route wiring throughout the building. This stage ensures safe, organized pathways for all wiring before the walls are enclosed and is an important step toward meeting modern electrical standards within the restored interior.
