Masonry work continues at 623–627 Cleveland Street as crews build a new reinforced bond beam along the wall. Concrete masonry units are being set around the vertical reinforcing steel to form a continuous structural section. Once complete, the beam will be grouted to tie the masonry together and strengthen the wall, adding structural reinforcement as work progresses.
Mortar is placed between concrete masonry units around vertical reinforcing steel as the bond beam takes shape.
