Crews have installed the roof over the northwest awning at the Woolworth building, marking progress on the entrance that will serve a future restaurant tenant. The awning faces Cleveland Street, providing shade and weather protection for the storefront below. The roofing applied is a white membrane material designed for flat surfaces and known for its ability to reflect sunlight and UV rays. This “cool roof” technology helps reduce heat absorption and supports energy efficiency inside the building. With the awning roofing in place, the structure is now prepared for the next stages of exterior finishing.
Heat tools are used to apply the roofing.
