At the Woolworth building, crews are installing a tough, waterproof plastic-sheet roofing system. The process began with laying custom-fit insulation panels on the roof’s surface. Once in place, large plastic roofing sheets were rolled out and secured with mechanical fasteners.
Crew members created a watertight seal by heat-welding the seams of each overlapping sheet. Detailing around roofing systems and edges was also heat-welded to ensure the roof is fully protected against moisture while maintaining long-term durability.
