Slab Cutting Begins to Ready Space for New Stair Shafts at Woolworth

Concrete slab cut open to expose ground. — Crews cut through the slab at Woolworth to expose soil beneath.

The next stage of structural work is underway at Woolworth as crews begin cutting through the existing concrete slab. This process is necessary to support the installation of new stair shafts and to reinforce the foundation below to guarantee a solid base.

With the first layer of slab removed, crews exposed the earth beneath, clearing the way for excavation. Once complete, a new slab will be poured to anchor the forthcoming stairwell.
