Stained Glass Panels Restored for Historic Peoples Bank Clock

Craftsman scores green stained glass for clock restoration.
Inside the clock workshop, green stained glass is scored along a marked line before being cut for the Peoples Bank clock restoration.

A longtime horologist is restoring the Peoples Bank clock, including the original stained-glass elements that give the clock face its distinctive character. As part of the process, new green stained glass is being produced to match the original color, translucency and visual texture.

A longtime horologist scores a green stained-glass panel by hand, preparing it for precise fitting within the Peoples Bank clock frame.

Each piece is measured, hand-cut and carefully fitted into the metal frame so the panel layout follows the clock’s original configuration. The work requires precise scoring, alignment and placement before the glass is secured within the frame’s intricate pattern.
