Stairwell Trusses Are Connected at the Woolworth Building

The Woolworth building has reached a major structural milestone. Crews have connected both stairwell towers to the second-floor trusses, creating the foundation for the remainder of the floor decking. Each truss was carefully set into a preinstalled bracket, then secured using nail guns. This precise method ensures structural alignment with the previously framed stair cores.

Trussing is locked into place using a nail gun, anchoring each truss into preinstalled brackets.

Once decking is installed across the newly laid trusses, the second floor will become fully walkable, supporting both restoration access and eventual tenant use. It’s a critical moment in transitioning the site from vertical framing to full second-floor construction.
