Storefront Door Hardware Installed at the Woolworth Building

Crews assemble and secure door-opening mechanisms.

Crews at the Woolworth Building are installing hardware to enhance the period-inspired storefront. This work includes fitting brass handles, door-opening mechanisms, and locking components that allow the doors to open, close and secure properly. Each piece—large and small—is installed carefully to ensure the system functions as intended. Beyond functionality, the brass hardware complements the building’s historic character. This step adds both usability and visual detail to the restored storefront entrance.
