The Woolworth Building Creative Office Space Is Taking Shape with Drywall Installation

Crews at the Woolworth building are installing drywall across the second-floor creative office space. Using power tools, workers secure each sheet of drywall to the metal framing, starting at the base of the wall and working upward to achieve full coverage. This careful sequencing ensures each panel aligns flush, providing a uniform surface for wall finishing. The insulated walls define the second-floor creative office space and corridors, giving form to the building’s adaptive reuse as a mix of workspace and retail. The progress marks another key step toward restoring the historic structure.
