West-Side Upstairs Windows Removed at the Woolworth Building

Woolworth window installation
Two-pane windows are gently removed one at a time.

Crews at the Woolworth building have removed the upstairs west-side windows as part of the ongoing restoration. Working carefully with crowbars and coordinated teamwork, the crew took out each window, removing the two-pane units one pane at a time. With the old windows now cleared, the openings are ready for new window bucking and upgraded window units that will improve both performance and appearance. This step moves the building closer to completing the restoration of its upper-level exterior.
