Brick Installation Progress Underway on the Woolworth Building Storefront

Concrete block installed along the building frontage. — Masons set bricks along the Woolworth building’s concrete storefront.

As part of the building’s renovations, crews removed the non-original exterior storefront to make way for a historically accurate replacement. In preparation, masons installed concrete blocks in select wall locations, forming the foundation for the storefront.

With this stage completed, brick specialists began building the façade over the concrete block, ensuring it matches the structure’s original appearance. Careful attention is being given to maintaining uniform mortar lines and precise brick spacing so the finished surface seamlessly aligns with the rest of the building’s historic frontage.
