Crews have finished constructing the new east-side staircase frame at the Peoples Bank building. The team installed the primary support beams along each side of the stairwell, creating the foundation for the treads, which are the flat surfaces you step on, and the risers, the vertical boards between each step. Each wooden piece was measured, cut and fitted into place to form the full staircase frame. With the frame now complete, the staircase is ready for the finishing materials that will integrate into the rest of the interior.
