Electrical Conduit Installation Progresses at the Peoples Bank Building

Electrical conduit installation
Overhead conduit lines are secured in place to power future lighting and outlets.

Electricians are installing metal conduit and wiring inside the historic Peoples Bank building as part of the restoration’s electrical rough-in phase. Crews begin by uncoiling flexible metal conduit, which protects and organizes the building’s wiring system. After cutting and feeding color-coded wires through the conduit, they route the lines overhead to support lighting and power systems throughout the building. Additional conduit runs down to outlet boxes within the metal wall framing, which will later house outlets and switches. This stage ensures the restored landmark is equipped with a modern electrical network that meets current standards while preserving the building’s historic character.
