Rooftop AC Drainage Line Installed at the Woolworth Building

Sloped PVC drain line on Woolworth roof. — Drainage line installed from the rooftop AC units toward the gutter at the Woolworth building.

Technicians have installed new rooftop drainage lines that carry condensation away from the AC units at the Woolworth building. The drainage system uses PVC fittings bonded with liquid cement to create a sealed pathway starting from the unit’s drain outlet. The drainage line was secured to sloped rooftop supports routing water toward the roof gutter. This system ensures humidity produced by the cooling system is collected and redirected, preventing roof damage, rust and ceiling leaks.

PVC pipe attached to A/C drain port. — Pipes are connected to the drain outlet on the AC units.

PVC joints bonded with cement. — Fittings sealed with liquid cement for a watertight connection.
