Interior restoration work continues inside the historic Peoples Bank Building as crews begin installing staircase rail systems along one of the building’s newly reconstructed stairways.
The steel-framed rail assemblies are being fitted and secured within the stair enclosure as part of the building’s broader interior restoration. The work marks another step in restoring safe and functional access throughout the circa-1910 structure while integrating modern building standards into the historic shell.
The Peoples Bank Building remains one of Cleveland Street’s most recognizable historic landmarks, originally constructed in 1910 and later known for its iconic corner clock and Mediterranean Revival detailing.
