Inside the Peoples Bank Building, mechanical work advances above the ceiling as technicians connect copper refrigerant lines for the HVAC system. This process is called brazing, a technique that uses controlled heat to join the metal piping, creating durable connections that will support heating, ventilation, and air conditioning throughout the restored Building.

This type of work is easy to miss from the street, but it is central to bringing a historic structure back into active use. Above the metal ceiling grid, copper lines and mechanical components are coordinated within a tight overhead space, allowing modern building systems to fit carefully within the historic shell.
