Tiling Takes Shape Inside the Peoples Bank Building

Tile setter grouts wall tiles inside the Peoples Bank building.
Accent tiles are set around the terracotta panel, framing the raised floral design.

A tile setter continues detailed finish work on the decorative terracotta tiling inside the Peoples Bank Building. The tiling brings definition to the raised floral pattern, where soft green, deep teal, yellow and rose-colored tiles form a rhythmic design on the interior wall.

This precise phase is hands-on. After applying grout to the joints, the tile setter wipes the surface clean with a damp sponge, leaving the tiles crisp and the grout lines even.

The tilework adds color, depth and craftsmanship to the interior while echoing the Mediterranean Revival character associated with the historic Peoples Bank Building. Each joint, edge and surface contributes to the finished composition—a detail-rich element that will help define the restored space. The result is both ornamental and architectural.
