Steel Beam Removal Advances at 623–627 Cleveland Street

At 623–627 Cleveland Street, façade demolition is focused on the steel beam spanning the storefront frontage. Crews are cutting and removing a steel beam along the front façade of 623–627 Cleveland Street, working section by section to prepare the building for its new façade design. The work exposes layers of masonry, steel and earlier finishes as demolition progresses along the storefront.

Built in 1945, the 623–627 Cleveland Street building is being readied for a more open retail presence with taller entries, expanded glass and year-round green wall elements.
