Crews at the Woolworth Building are installing a collection of historic interior photographs that connect today’s restoration with the building’s early 1900s past. The images show original Woolworth five-and-dime counters and shoppers dressed in period clothing, offering a glimpse into everyday life more than a century ago. Each photograph is set in a wooden frame and protected with plexiglass for safety, allowing the displays to be enjoyed in active interior spaces. By placing these images throughout the building, the restoration adds a layer of storytelling—turning hallways and common areas into visual reminders of Woolworth’s role in American retail history.
