Restoration crews have completed a key phase at the Telephone Building: installing the new cantilevered awning and its aluminum roof panels. Each panel was precisely fitted and mounted to the restored steel framework using durable, environmentally friendly materials.

This step reintroduces a signature 1914 element—a wraparound canopy originally suspended by tie rods and brackets. The aluminum roof offers modern resilience while honoring the building’s historic design.
