Concrete Pour Advances Restoration of the Peoples Bank Building

Crews at the Peoples Bank building have completed a concrete pour on the second floor, marking an important structural step in the building’s ongoing restoration. A self-leveling concrete mix was pumped through a hose across the floor, then spread evenly using a smoothing paddle. Unlike standard concrete, this specialized mixture is fluid and flows easily, ensuring a smooth, uniform surface across the entire floor.

The finished layer not only reinforces the structural strength of the second floor but also improves fire resistance and soundproofing between levels. With the concrete pour complete, the space is ready for the next stage of interior restoration, moving the project one step closer to completion.
