Decorative Tile Installation Begins Beneath Peoples Bank Windows

Concrete is applied evenly to the recessed areas below the ground floor windows.
Concrete is carefully leveled within a recessed section beneath the window opening ahead of tile installation.

Decorative tile installation is underway on the façade of the historic Peoples Bank building as restoration continues along the recessed areas beneath the windows. Crews began by placing and smoothing a fresh concrete base within each recessed section, creating the foundation that allows the tiles to be set securely and align cleanly with the surrounding façade.

With this base layer in place, the decorative tiles are then installed with precision, restoring an important detail while maintaining the crisp architectural lines that define the building’s historic design.

Tile is applied against the recessed area below the window to verify the surface is flush.
Tiles are sponged after installation to clear off debris.
Newly placed tiles are cleaned to remove excess concrete.
