East Staircase Construction Progresses at the Peoples Bank Building

Carpentry crews are advancing work on the east staircase at the Peoples Bank building, focusing on the components that form the structure’s essential framework. The team began by shaping the new stair landings, ensuring each platform aligns correctly within the existing layout. From there, carpenters turned their attention to the “stringers,” which are the long, angled structural components that define the rise and run of the staircase. These pieces are cut from fresh lumber and carefully formed to match each staircase step needed for proper support. Each section is secured in place using nail guns and precise measurements. With the landings and stringers taking shape, the base structure will be prepared for the installation of the rest of the staircase pieces to complete the assembly.
