Elevator Shaft is Completely Rebuilt at the Peoples Bank

Fully rebuilt elevator shaft with reinforced walls. — The completed elevator shaft structure inside the historic building.

Crews completed the full reconstruction of the elevator shaft inside the historic Peoples Bank building. The original shaft and elevator pit were entirely removed and replaced to meet today’s safety and accessibility standards.

A new pit foundation was poured and walls were built using concrete blocks reinforced with steel bars. The concrete blocks were then completely filled with concrete, marking another key milestone in the building’s restoration
