Ahead of stucco installation, the exterior brick walls of the historic Peoples Bank Building underwent critical preparation, as restoration crews filled gaps with mortar and removed protrusions through precision chipping and cutting.
Crews sand and chip away protruding materials to level the wall.
A thin layer of mortar was applied across the façade to create a smooth, flat surface, preparing the foundation for a waterproofing membrane. This layer will ultimately support the new stucco finish and help return the 1910 structure to its original form.
A crew member applies a fresh layer of mortar to the exterior masonry wall at the Peoples Bank Building.
