Restoration crews at the historic Peoples Bank building have begun installing window bucks, which are wooden frames inserted into masonry openings to prepare for window placement. Each buck is anchored into place with fasteners and caulked with a layer of sealant to ensure waterproofing and long-term adhesion.
This step is essential for transitioning from structural work to exterior finishing, helping restore the building’s original window configuration with historically appropriate detailing.
