Interior finish work continues at the Peoples Bank Building as craftsmen apply a protective finish to interior wood door frames, enhancing durability while bringing out the depth and character of the wood grain. Although the finish appears blue during application, it dries to a transparent coating that highlights the wood’s dark stain.
As more of the building transitions from construction to detailed finish work, these smaller architectural features contribute to the overall character of the restored interior. The process reflects the level of craftsmanship involved in transforming a historic structure from a construction site into a finished space.
