South Storefront Doors and Glass Installed at the Peoples Bank Building

Crews at the Peoples Bank building have made great strides by installing the new south storefront door frames and glass. The team started by securing the metal frame to ensure a perfect fit within the entrance way opening, then installed the doors and adjusted them for smooth operation. The doors were finished with a powder coating to maintain a historically accurate look while adding durability. Next, tinted, hurricane-proof glass was installed, enhancing the building’s classic aesthetic and providing extra strength. This glass is designed to resist impacts, making it safer, more durable and perfect for withstanding everyday wear and unpredictable weather conditions. Finally, crews sealed the edges to protect the storefront from air and water, completing another key step in restoring the storefront to its original 1930s-inspired design.
