Steel Awning Installation Begins at the Peoples Bank Building

Installation continues as crew members stabilize and secure the awning structure.

Installation of the cantilevered steel awning begins at the Peoples Bank building, with work focusing on securing the steel framework to the façade. Using specialised drills, crew members fasten the structure to pre-set anchor bolts while others adjust alignment with hand tools to ensure a level fit. The steel grid is progressively tightened into place, creating a rigid, unified assembly.

The installation requires careful coordination as crews balance the suspended framework on temporary supports while making precise adjustments at each connection point. A rubber mallet is used to fine-tune the alignment, allowing the steel components to settle correctly before final fastening. This method ensures the structure remains square across its span and is properly integrated with the building exterior.
