Overhead HVAC Support System is Installed at the Peoples Bank Building

HVAC technicians install ceiling-mounted HVAC support framework.
HVAC specialists install suspended metal framework above the ceiling plane.

Installation of the suspended metal framework supporting part of the HVAC system is underway at the Peoples Bank building. Crews are assembling a raised support rack that will hold the air handler—the system responsible for circulating conditioned air—and organize the mechanical infrastructure above the finished space.

The air handler is an essential component of the HVAC system that draws in air, conditions it, and distributes it through ductwork across the building. Positioning this system overhead allows for efficient airflow while preserving usable interior space below, a key factor in adapting historic structures for modern use.

A level is used to ensure alignment before framing is secured.
Overhead framing is aligned and secured to support part of the building’s HVAC system.
