The Peoples Bank building restoration is moving forward with preparations for a historically accurate canopy at the south entrance. Work is focused on securing concealed wood supports behind the south façade, which will allow the canopy to be safely anchored to the building’s structural system. This approach ensures that the canopy’s weight and wind forces are properly supported by the structure itself rather than the exterior finish.
