Brown Brothers Interior Room Demolition Progresses Inside 619 Cleveland Street

Exposed studs and insulation during demolition at 619 Cleveland Street. — Interior rooms in 619 Cleveland Street are being stripped of drywall.

Crews have begun demolishing the interior rooms of 619 Cleveland Street, part of the Brown Brothers Building. Office partitions and interior walls are being stripped of drywall and insulation, revealing the underlying framing.

In preparation for demolition, termites were exterminated. Now, using crowbars and other tools, larger sections of drywall are being removed while minimizing disruption to surrounding materials. Once the framing is exposed, the structural condition will be evaluated for possible termite damage. Future remodeling plans will include replacing any affected wood.
