Framing Removed to Prepare for Structural Reinforcement at Brown Brothers

Demolition at the historic Brown Brothers Building includes the removal of extensive wood framing and joists. Most of this lumber, including large sections of the walls, was cleared as part of interior demolition efforts. A portion of the wood was found to be compromised by termites and will be treated to prevent future infestation before reconstruction begins.

This wood removal marks a turning point in the restoration process. As demolition progresses, the building’s original framework is being revealed for the next chapter of renovation.
