Interior Stucco Removal Reveals Original Masonry at Brown Brothers

Restoration crews have begun stripping interior stucco from the historic Brown Brothers Building at 615–621 Cleveland Street, unveiling the building’s base structure. The removal offers critical visibility into the condition of the structural walls and sets the stage for interior framing and layout to follow.

This phase of work aligns with the broader architectural approach of renewal through revelation, exposing and understanding the original material before installing new materials. Once the interior is fully prepared, new wall systems will be installed, forming the framework for the building’s next chapter.
